VLAN is a series of voice loggers with analog ports and network interface. A
host computer is required as these loggers do not have any internal memory
for data storage. Data are transferred to the host computer via LAN in real
time during recording. The host computer does not need to be dedicated, and
one host, if powerful enough, can serve multiple loggers simultaneously.
Live call monitoring is supported, one port at a time. User operations (search,
play...) and system management are performed on the host computer with
supplied Windows software.
Record data is saved in Windows WAV format with different compression
options for the user to choose his/her own balance between voice quality and
storage requirement. With a big hard drive on the host computer, several
months’ worth of data can be easily stored.
Offering superb sound quality and rock solid performance, these VLAN loggers
are ideal solutions for small to medium scale applications.
VLAN-164
VLAN-164 is a scalable rack-mount system
with 16 card slots per chassis. Each slot
accommodates a 4-port logger card which
is functionally similar to VLAN-400 except
that all cards share the same network
connection with a single IP address. Up to
4 systems can be stacked together for a
maximum capacity of 256 ports hosted by a single host computer.
