Tamper proof design with the front mounting option The ST-100’s enclosure is designed to allow mounting either in the front or in the back of the panel. In the case of front mounting, the bracket is placed in the back of the unit making it tamper proof since the back cover cannot be removed without dismounting the unit first. In the case of back mounting, the bracket is placed in the front. The unit is not tamper proof if its back side is exposed. Also, the panel must have holes for the speaker and the push button (or motion sensor). The back mounting push button model (ST-100AL) has a long push button to accommodate panel thickness, while the front mounting push button model (ST-100AS) has a short push button.
